iPad App of the Week – Parcel Mapping with Planimeter

One necessary tool for all REALTORS is parcel mapping.  There are many mapping services that can give you a visual representation of of a property or neighborhood (Bing, Google maps, etc.). These are fine but all are lacking the most vital bit of information – property dimensions.  Here is where Planimeter comes to the rescue!

Planimeter allows you to search (or zoom) to a parcel, set waypoints at each corner and presto, you have the diameter and area!

After you are finished, you can copy these measurements, copy the image, email the image or save it to your Photos on your iPad.

Scroll map to first waypoint and tap the pushpin icon on the right.

Do the same for each waypoint.
